‘Broken’ Matt Hardy’s closing segment during last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite had to be shot twice.
The face-to-face segment. which featured Hardy teleporting around the empty arena was first shot on Tuesday evening according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.
“They taped the segment on Tuesday, but Jericho hated it. He absolutely hated it,” Meltzer stated. They were then going to re-tape it on Wednesday”
AEW was under a time crunch on Wednesday, with it still being light outside prior to the show.
Chris Jericho spoke on the segment during a Facebook Live Saturday night, indicating the idea to have Hardy teleport around the building was his idea.

He also revealed, the company had a 15-minute window to record the segment, then have television editors rush to have it ready before it aired later that evening. .
