Potential Roster For All Elite Wrestling
Many top stars from Ring Of Honor have completed their final matches with the company over the weekend. Although their future has yet to be announced, it’s expected that a number of talent will be involved in the AEW promotion backed by Jacksonville Jaguars co-owner Tony Khan.
Dave Meltzer noted in this morning’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that although no confirmation on where the wrestlers who’s contracts expire at the end of this month will go, all signs point to All Elite Wrestling.
All Elite Wrestling Potential Roster:
- Cody (ROH Contract Expired 10/1/18, Not Expected To Resign)
- The Young Bucks (ROH Contract Expires 12/31/18, Not Expected To Resign)
- Hangman Page (ROH Contract Expires 12/31/18, Not Expected To Resign)
- Frankie Kazarian (ROH Contract Expires 12/31/18, Offered New Contract, Has Yet To Sign)
- Scorpio Sky (ROH Contract Expires 12/31/18, No Expected To Resign)
- Christopher Daniels (ROH Contract Expires 12/31/18, Offered New Contract, Has Yet To Sign)
- Kenny Omega (NJPW Contract Ends 01/19, Not Expected To Resign)
- Marty Scurll (ROH Contract Ends Spring 2019)
In order for AEW to actually have some legs to stand on, they need a TV deal. As of right now, no television deal has been revealed.
Last month, the following trademarks were filed with the United States Trademark Office
- All Elite Wrestling
- AEW Tuesday Night Dynamite
- AEW Double Or Nothing
- AEW All Out
The Tuesday Night Dynamite trademark has signs pointing to a program on Tuesday nights, which is now free since WWE his moving Smackdown LIVE to Friday’s.
The trademarks for AEW Double or Nothing and AEW All Out both have language that allows that name to be used for PPV streaming. The logo for AEW All Out has the “IN” in the ALL IN logo crossed out and replaced with “OUT”.
The trademarks all list their address as 1 TIAA Bank Field Drive, which is also home to the Jacksonville Jaguars (owned by Tony Khan)
Like anything with pro-wrestling, plans can change, and the direction of where these stars take with their career can shift.
