Vince McMahon Fires Arn Anderson

News broke this past week that, long time WWE employee, Arn Anderson was let go from the company.

The reason for Arn’s departure was unknown, and many speculated it may be due to WWE changing direction in backstage producers, with the arrival of agents such as Jeff Jarrett, Abyss, and Sonjay Dutt.

According to Dave Meltzer during today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Arn Anderson was fired by Vince McMahon.

Arn’s firing came after an incident at a WWE live event, that apparently wasn’t handled well, and Arn ended up taking the blame.

Meltzer noted on The Wrestling Observer Forum that Vince and Arn had a yelling match, which led to Arn being sent home, and he never returned.

Arn Anderson and Vince McMahon have not been on good terms, following a number of situations that happened over the years, including one that happened more recently.

Meltzer states that everyone backstage is keeping quiet on exactly what happened, but there is some people siding with Arn on the matter, and some who are siding with Vince.

Anderson was liked backstage by many of the key people, including top stars such as John Cena, who Arn worked with as his agent for putting matches together.

Thank you Arn Anderson. Can’t fit all that he did for me in just one tweet. LEGEND in and out of the ring. I’ll never forget the sight of him laying on a couch backstage in Mexico with a laptop on his stomach watching Z! True Long Island Story.

No matter the role, whether it was V1, Will Not Die, or even WOKEN, Arn Anderson was so good that he could assimilate & translate that persona’s identity to in-ring work. And that’s on top of his hilarious personality & storytelling.

Thanks, best wishes & cya down the road, AA! pic.twitter.com/AWeO5gdb8B
