Vince McMahon Makes Last Minute Decision
Last night during Smackdown Live Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship
According to Dave Meltzer, the decision was made yesterday afternoon to have Charlotte Flair face Asuka.
Meltzer also noted that the idea of having both the Smackdown and RAW Championships involved in the Triple-Threat at Wrestlemania was spoken about for quite sometime, but the news came from someone who isn’t too important within the company.
WWE made mention of only the RAW Women’s Championship being up for grabs at Wrestlemania on their Twitter account, but the official preview for the match on WWE.com makes it seem like a mystery.
Based on the wording, it seems only the RAW Women’s Championship will be up for grabs, but that could always change.
