Wrestler’s React To New WWE Executive Director’s
As WWE prepares to usher in Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman as Executive Director’s of television, the question remains whether the product will change.
Fightful Select spoke to different talent, and got their reaction on the changes. Although no names were provided, to protect anonymity, the overall sentiment remains that with Vince McMahon at the helm of the company, nothing drastic will change.
Here’s thoughts from four wrestlers backstage as per Fightful Select.
- One wrestler said it was “wasted energy “to even think anything really changing in WWE.
- Another wrestler said they had a “wait and see” approach. They didn’t trust Vince McMahon to allow anyone else have creative say without being touched.
- Another wrestler said that Paul Heyman has already proved helpful in his previous role, and has went out of his way to help talent.
- Another wrestler mentioned he thought the change was “building up hope that won’t live up to the hype”. They didn’t expect anything to drastically change.
According to PWInsider, there was no real differences ahead of tonight’s RAW in Dallas, compared to the fast few weeks of TV. Heyman’s new ideas will be implemented over time.
Eric Bischoff mentioned on his latest podcast with Conrad Thompson that he is planning on moving to Stamford, CT to begin his new role with the company.
