Drake Maverick continues work WWE events despite being released on April 15.
Following his release, Maverick was announced he would continue to compete in the Interim NXT Championship Tournament.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has turned Maverick’s real life release into a storyline, as he is still under a 90-day non-compete clause, and is being paid by the company.
The same goes for Sarah Logan, who was booked to appear on RAW this past Monday, despite being released days earlier.
Logan’s name was still used in promos during RAW, but was an appearance was cut from the episode.
As per a report from Fightful Select earlier this week, many are expecting Sarah Logan to return to the company in some capacity in the near future.
WWE is paying all released talent for 90-days, so technically they can use them on television if they choose to do so.
