Baron Corbin’s storyline could be taking an interesting turn.
Since losing his crown to Shinsuke Nakamura on an episode of SmackDown in June, Baron Corbin has been met with some financial issues. The former King Of The Ring has been seen begging Superstars and the WWE Universe for money to help fund his once lavish lifestyle.
The storyline has also brought him to Raw through WWE’s wild card rule, where he lost to Drew McIntyre. Corbin also stole Big E’s Money In The Bank briefcase before Mr. MITB won it back.
Over SummerSlam weekend, Corbin‘s luck seemed to be improving, as he won big in a Las Vegas casino. This didn’t last long however, as he was seen entering a motel in the latest video.
According to PWInsider, Corbin’s storyline will lead to a big twist on SmackDown. What this could be wasn’t included, however there will be several more ‘ups and downs’ before this happens.
It was further noted that WWE filmed a lot of content over SummerSlam weekend, and that at one point there were plans to have film with Illusionist Criss Angel in Vegas, however there’s no word on if this actually took place.

WWE recently filed a trademark for the term “Happy Corbin”, which may be a sign of things to come with his character.
