An interesting stipulation has been added to Chris Jericho vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 14.
In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Tanahashi floated the idea of having an AEW title match if he is victorious at Wrestle Kingdom on 1/5.
Chris Jericho took to Instagram today and accepted Tanahashi’s idea.
You said if you can beat me that you would enter the forbidding portal and request a title shot for the AEW Championship. I thought it’s a great idea so I asked the the owner of AEW, Tony Khan, if it was okay to grant your request, and he said “yes”. If you can beat me in the Tokyo Dome, I will give you a championship match for the AEW Title.
