Orlando Makes Bids For Future WWE Pay-Per-Views

The City of Orlando, FL have approved to make bids for future WWE pay-per-views according to Click Orlando.

Orange County, FL leaders have approved $125,000 in funding to assist in securing bids for WWE Summerslam and Survivor Series over the next few years. If successful, the event(s) will take place at the Amway Center.

During a meeting on Tuesday, city commissioners voted to use $125,000 from the city tourist development fund to bid on SummerSlam 2021 and 2022, as well as Survivor Series 2020, 2021, or 2022.

The fees to bid on Summerslam is $75,000 with an estimated economic impact for the region of $6 million. The feeds to bid on Survivor Series is $50,000 with the estimated economic impact of $4 million for the region.

Wrestlemania 33 was hosted in Orlando in 2017. That event brought an economic impact of $181.5 million to the city.
