Days before CM Punk walked out of WWE, the company had plans to have him face Triple H at Wrestlemania 30.
CM Punk posted a proposed Wrestlemania 30 match card on Instagram, which featured a number of matches which didn’t actually happen at the pay-per-view.
The draft match card showed a date of 1/20/14, just 6 days before the 2014 Royal Rumble.
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Batista vs. Randy Orton
- WWE United States Championship: Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns
- CM Punk vs. Triple H
- Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
- John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
- Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus
- Big Show vs. Kane
If these matches would have taken place, we wouldn’t have seen Daniel Bryan’s historic WWE World Heavyweight Championship win over Randy Orton and Batista.
If Roman Reigns faced Dean Ambrose, The Shield breakup would have come months before it actually occured, possibly shaping the direction of how the storyline played out.
CM Punk walked out of WWE prior to RAW on 1/27/14.
