AEW Announces Cody Rhodes Is Injured

Cody Rhodes suffered a shoulder injury during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Rhodes teamed with Lee Johnson during the show, defeating “Pretty” Peter Avalon and Cezar Bononi. Following the episode, Arn Anderson spoke on Coach’s Corner, revealing Rhodes “dinged his shoulder” during the match.

AEW issued the following statement following segment, indicating Cody Rhodes suffered a slight tear on his left rotator cuff.

“Following the recording of Coach’s Corner, it was confirmed by the AEW medical team that Cody Rhodes suffered a slight tear of his left rotator cuff during his tag team match on Dynamite.

His current status is TBD.”

Rhodes posted a single “injured” emoji on Twitter.

Cody Rhodes is scheduled to team with Red Velvet against Shaquille O’Neil and Jade Cargill on the 3/3 episode of AEW Dynamite.
