Shawn Spears Hits Cody With Vicious Chair Shot
After going to a time limit draw with Darby Allin, Cody Rhodes ended up in a pool of blood following a vicious chair shot to the head from Shawn Spears during tonight’s AEW Fyter Fest event.
Shawn Spears entered the ring after the match, delivered an unprotected chair shot to the back of Cody’s head.
Rhodes immediately fell, and the back of his head began gushing blood. The commentary tea, stalled while Rhodes was attended to by members of the AEW roster.

All Elite Wrestling tweeted a photo following the match stating that Rhodes needed 12 staples to the back of his head, and he wasn’t suffering a concussion.
