WWE Is Pushing For Daniel Bryan To Sign New Deal

Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract has expired, and the company is attempting to sign him to a new deal.

As first reported by Fightful Select (subscription required), Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract expired last week.

In an update, Dave Meltzer is reporting WWE is “is pushing hard for him to sign a new deal”. It’s unknown what type of offer the company has proposed.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider added, “the removal from the roster happened over the last 72 hours”, and there are no creative plans for Bryan as both sides are currently in discussions. It’s unknown if he currently has a separate deal with E!’s Total Bellas series.

Daniel Bryan lost a WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns during last week’s Friday Night SmackDown, with the stipulation that he leave SmackDown. He was then moved to the alumni section of WWE.com over the weekend.

Bryan had been vocal over the last several months that he wished to transition into a part-time wrestler.
