AEW Double Or Nothing Will be Held At Full-Capacity

All Elite Wrestling will host a full-capacity crowd at their next pay-per-view, Double or Nothing.

Tony Khan revealed the news during an appearance of Sirius XM’s Busted Open Radio on Wednesday morning.

He also announced a live show will take place the Friday before the show, as well as a fan fest on Saturday.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the scheduled AEW Dynamite show on 5/26 will be moved to 5/28 due to the NBA Playoffs.

Due to the NBA playoffs, the normally scheduled 5/26 show is being moved to Friday, 5/28, at 10 p.m. The plan right now is to go live from 8 p.m. to midnight at Daily’s Place with two hours of Dark being taped before Dynamite with a live crowd followed by two hours of Dynamite going live.

AEW Double Or Nothing will be held at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL. The outdoor amphitheater holds 5500 patrons.

The promotion has been running at the venue at a reduced capacity throughout the pandemic. Reduced capacity events have seats sold in socially distanced pods, with fans required to wear face coverings.

According to Daily’s Place website, “Face coverings that completely cover your mouth and nose may be required or strongly encouraged* at Daily’s Place and in all parking lots during an event.”  It’s unknown if AEW will enforce this policy for Double Or Nothing.

AEW ‘Double Or Nothing’ Weekend Schedule

  • Friday, May 28: AEW Dynamite
  • Saturday, May 29: AEW Double Or Nothing Fan Fest
  • Sunday, May 30: AEW Double Or Nothing PPV

Recently, musician Machine Gun Kelly performed at a full-capacity crowd inside the amphitheater.

Last year’s event was originally scheduled to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, but was moved to Daily’s Place due to the ongoing pandemic. Original plans had this year’s event take place in Las Vegas, but a decision was made to move it once again to Jacksonville.

AEW’s last full-capacity event was Dynamite on March, 11, 2020 in West Valley City, Utah.

AEW Double Or Nothing will take place on Sunday, May 30 on pay-per-view. Ticket details are expected to be announced soon.
