Another pro-wrestling legend has contracted COVID-19.
Bill Eadie, who fans will recognize as Ax from the popular WWE tag team Demolition, has tested positive for the virus as cases continue to surge following the holiday season. The news was broken by Martin Damato on Facebook as Eadie was set to appear at a virtual meet-and-greet for Damato’s T-Mart company. He writes:
Some bad news to report.
Unfortunately Demolition signing will not take place this Saturday.
I just got a call from Bill and his oldest Grandson had contacted Covid last week and now Bill and his wife are feeling sick with symptoms..Let’s all send our prayers to one of the nicest guys you can ever meet Bill Eadie and is family as they deal with Covid..
Bill said once he is better him and Barry will make the trip to join the marty party.
Eadie isn’t the only legend who has tested positive for the virus. WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has been tweeting about his COVID-19 diagnosis, calling it a difficult battle that he’s fortunately on the other side of. Earlier this morning AEW superstar and Inner Circle leader Chris Jericho revealed tested positive for COVID-19 back in September of 2020, although he didn’t exhibit any symptoms and continued to work tapings after properly quarantining.
