Edge has been adamant that he is not making an in-ring return to WWE, despite what has been reported over the last several months.
During a recent interview with Live On Legs, Edge spoke on a number of reports, addressing reports that he has signed a new contract, and is working towards an in-ring return to WWE.
It’s kind of funny to me, honestly. All of these rumors happening that ‘I’ve been to Pittsburgh’ and ‘I’ve been cleared to wrestle again’ and ‘I’ve signed a new contract.’ I have no idea where any of it came from. The last time I was in Pittsburgh, I had my wrist fused in 2013. I haven’t signed a contract. I think I would know. I get this tsunami of comments saying, ‘You’re coming back. You signed a contract.’ I’m like, I really haven’t. ‘Oh yeah, that’s what you’d say.’ Okay, whatever,
Despite denying several reports, many insiders feel that Edge will be back inside a WWE ring.
Mike Johnson spoke about Edge’s possible return during an PWInsider Elite Hotline (Subscription Required) Tuesday, and stated he would be “shocked” if he didn’t see Edge back on WWE television within the next week.

Edge made a surprise return last August at WWE Summerslam, shocking fans after he speared Elias.
Edge retired from in-ring action in 2011 following being diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis. Doctors would not clear him to wrestle, for risk of neck-down paralysis.
