WWE’s Original Bro Signs New Contract With WWE.
In December, The Wrestling Observer reported that Matt Riddle had been offered to sign a new contract with WWE at $400,000 per year plus a $50,000 bonus for every Saudi Arabia show he competed in. This was later confirmed in a report from Fightful, indicating he came to terms on a new deal.
However last week Bryan Alvarez noted on the Wrestling Observer that Riddle had doubts over signing the contract and that he hadn’t yet signed it. The conflicting reports created some confusion, however it has now been resolved, as per Fightful Select.
Fightful Select (subscription required) reports that Riddle has not only re-signed with WWE, but it is an entirely new contract rather than an extension to his current one. It was noted that this contract will see him through to the end of 2023.
Riddle’s prior contract was set expire in August 2021. He originally signed with the company in 2018.
