Diamond Mine Revealed On NXT Television

WWE finally revealed the long-awaited Diamond Mine storyline during this week’s edition of NXT on USA.

The main event of the show saw Kushida face Kyle O’Reilly. After the match, Adam Cole attacked Reilly, resulting in security escorting the two out of the building.

A lone Kushida was then attacked by Diamond Mine, the newest NXT stable which includes Roderick Strong, Tyler Rust, and Hideki Suzuki. The group is managed by Malcolm Bivens. Following the attack, Bivens handed Strong the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.

Roderick Strong “resigned” from NXT this past April, handing William Regal a letter stating he was “done”. This is his first time back on NXT television.

Tyler Rust signed with WWE at the end of 2020. He was briefly aligned with Malcolm Bivens on NXT television. He’s competed in a handful of matches, his most recent during a Gauntlet Eliminator Battle Royal this past March.

Hideki Suzuki signed with WWE this past February, his last match was for NOAH at the end of 2020.

Promos began airing this past April, which featured a number of fighters inside a cage, similar to a combat fighting training gym.

In December, WWE filed a number of trademarks, including Diamond Mine, for use in entertainment services.
