DJZ and Shane Strickland Receive Name Changes In NXT




Former Impact Star DJZ Debuts At NXT Live Event

WWE is continuing to make changes to performance names for several NXT talent.

Today during NXT’s live event in Largo, FL, former Impact star DJZ made his debut with the company under the name Jaoquin Wilde. He was able to pick up a win over Kona Reeves in his first match with the company.

Shane Strickland also received a new name in his fourth match with the company. He is now known as Isiah Scott.

Earlier this week WWE changed the names of several NXT talent including Trevlor Lee and Eric Bugenhagen.

Below is the current list of NXT name changes.

  • Eric Bugenhagen – Rik Bugez
  • Trevor Lee – Cameron Grimes
  • Jessie Elaban – Jessie Kamea
  • Luke Menzies – Ridge Holland
  • Adrian Jaoude – Arturo Ruas
  • Punishment Martinez – Damien Priest
  • Shane Strickland – Isaiah Scott
  • DJZ – Joaquin Wilde

WWE Draft Officially Announced For Next Month




WWE has officially announced the next Draft for SmackDown and RAW.

Earlier this month reports surfaced that WWE will do a roster shake-up on October 11 and 14. This reports have been confirmed by WWE. The company also announced personalities from FOX and NBCUniversal programming will on hand for the shows.

Prior to officially releasing the news, FOX announcers mentioned the up-coming Draft during a NFL game today.

WWE issued the following press release.


STAMFORD, Conn. – September 15, 2019 – The destiny of WWE’s Superstars will be determined during a two-night draft taking place live on Friday Night SmackDown® on October 11 at 8 pm ET on the FOX broadcast network and Monday Night Raw® on October 14 at 8 pm ET on USA Network.

On both nights of the draft, Superstars from Raw and SmackDown will appear along with personalities from FOX and NBCUniversal programming who will announce select picks from each brand. The draft will determine the Superstars that compete for Raw and SmackDown, which feature distinct casts, unique storylines and dedicated writing teams.

Friday Night SmackDown on October 11 will emanate from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas while Monday Night Raw on October 14 will take place at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

Raw and SmackDown are the #1 and #2 longest-running weekly episodic television shows in U.S. primetime history. The programs have aired more original episodes than The Simpsons, Gunsmoke, Lassie and Monday Night Football.

Raw will continue airing on USA Network while SmackDown moves to FOX beginning Friday, October 4.

WWE will officially end the Wild Card Rule with the next draft, with RAW and SmackDown having distinct rosters.
