Elias performance may be added to kickoff show
WWE Kickoff show matches will be Oney Lorcan vs Drew Gulak, Buddy Murphy vs Apollo Crews, and Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross defending WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against The IIconics.

WWE SummerSlam is tonight from the ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto, ON.
Heelbynature.com has learned a number of backstage news ahead of the show including a segment featuring Roman Reigns, the kickoff show match, a WWE Hall of Famer scheduled to be backstage, and possible return from a superstar who has been on a leave of absence.
Please note, these are simply notes from a source with knowledge backstage, and as always things can change due to the nature of WWE.
As of this morning, the following plans were in place for SummerSlam.
- Matt Riddle was set to have a segment on screen, either pre-taped or at the arena. One thinks this may involve Goldberg due to Riddle him being vocal on social media.
- Oney Lorcan vs. Drew Gulak is currently scheduled for the SummerSlam kickoff show. There was also talk of Drew Mcintyre vs. Cedric Alexander, and Ali vs. Shinsuke on the kickoff show as well.
- Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton is scheduled to be the main event of the night
- Roman Reigns, Rowan, and Daniel Bryan are set to be involved in a segment. It is said to look “pretty insane”, and no talent are allowed to be present during rehearsal. As of this morning no match with Roman Reigns was scheduled.
- Bret “The Hitman” Hart is scheduled to be backstage at SummerSlam tonight, he may appear on camera with Natalya.
- Natalya is filming a WWE 24 episode during SummerSlam weekend.
- Members of the Toronto Raptors team are set to be in attendance
- Johnny Gargano’s moving to the main roster is imminent, he is scheduled to be backstage tonight at SummerSlam. He is noted to be one of the last “major guys” to move to the roster in the foreseeable future.
- Sasha Banks return is being spoken about backstage, her Instagram stories showing her being home may be a “smokescreen”. This hints a possible return
WWE SummerSlam begins at 5 PM ET with the KickOff Show.
