WWE pre-taped Wrestlemania 36 over the last two days at the Performance Center and other “closed set” locations.
The major story coming from the tapings is Roman Reigns not competing against Goldberg for the WWE Universal Championship.
Dave Meltzer provided more details on the situation during Friday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, indicating Reigns replacement was believed to be Braun Strowman.
“Roman Reigns did not wrestle Bill Goldberg. I believe Braun Strowman wrestled Bill Goldberg.”
WWE is expected to have an angle play out on Friday’s edition of Smackdown, which will build up Strowman vs. Goldberg at the event.
SmackDown was pre-taped last Saturday, but the company may have shot an angle Thursday to insert into the show.
