Following weeks of behind the scenes issues between Impact Wrestling and Tessa Blanchard the company has terminated her from her contract.

The company issued a statement Thursday night indicating Tessa Blanchard has been terminated and stripped of the Impact World Championship.

“Impact Wrestling confirmed that it has terminated its relationship with Tessa Blanchard and stripped her of the Impact Wrestling World Championship.”

Tessa Blanchard was advertised to defend the Impact World Championship at the up-coming Slammivesary pay-per-view, which many behind the scenes believed would not happen.

Blanchard has been in Mexico with her fiancé Daga during the current health crisis. Impact attempted to get her to send in promos for television, but she did not deliver according to a recent report from Fightful Select.

According to PWInsider, attempts were made to get Tessa Blanchard to return to the U.S and drop the title, but both sides were unable to come to terms, leading to her dismissal.

Blanchard has yet to comment on the situation.
