Impact Wrestling terminated Tessa Blanchard days ahead of her contract expiry.

The promotion sent out a statement to media ahead of publicly publishing her dismissal on their website.

Impact Wrestling confirmed that it has terminated its relationship with Tessa Blanchard and stripped her of the Impact Wrestling World Championship.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Tessa Blanchard’s Impact Wrestling Contract contract was set to expire on June 30, weeks before her scheduled title defense at the Slammiversary pay-per-view.

A few weeks ago, reports surfaced that Tessa Blanchard was asked to record promos for Impact television, but did not deliver. More details have now surfaced on those proposed promos.

Tessa Blanchard was seeking a day rate for her participation in the filming, but the two sides could not come to terms on a deal.

Blanchard’s release reportedly had nothing to do with bullying allegations levied against her earlier this year.

The report indicates other promotions are interested in Blanchard, but no specifics were given. It’s unknown if Blanchard is bound to a non-compete clause.
