IMPACT Looking To Replace Member Of Commentary Team

IMPACT Wrestling is reportedly looking for a new color commentator.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Madison Rayne is scheduled to leave her role at the commentary desk. The company is currently seeking someone new for the spot to join lead announcer Josh Matthews.

During 2020, Madison Rayne transitioned into a role on the IMPACT Wrestling commentary team alongside her husband Josh Matthews. During an interview with Instinct Culture over the summer, Rayne noted she was placed in that role due to the pandemic.

It’s been a challenge, but a fun challenge. And it was something that was kinda thrown into my lap because of the pandemic and the circumstances that we’re all trying to navigate through. I did some commentary a few years ago specifically for Knockout’s matches, so I did have a little bit of experience but not nearly enough to call an entire show. I always appreciate IMPACT management for letting people try new things and kinda step out of their comfort zones.
