Independent star Jake Atlas has reportedly signed a WWE contract.
Last Word On Pro Wrestling and SoCal Uncensored have both issued reports confirming the 24-year old independent star has signed a developmental deal with WWE.
Atlas, who resides in the Los Angeles area was backstage at Friday Night SmackDown’s debut episode on FOX earlier this month.
Jake Atlas was featured in WWE’s episode of Undercover Boss. He was given a “brand ambassador’ contract during the episode. During the episode of Undercover Boss, Atlas explained to Stephanie McMahon he wanted to become the first openly gay WWE World Champion.
Atlas recently had a standout performance at PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles tournament. He also appeared for Ring Of Honor at their most recent tapings in Los Angeles, but turned down a contract offer.
WWE’s next Performance Center class is scheduled to take place in January 2020.
