Independent wrestling veteran Mitch Ryder has passed away at age 48. The news was first revealed by John Williams, better known to fans as Ian Rotten on Facebook.
My heart is literally breaking over the passing of Marvelous Mitch Ryder today. Mitch is one of my favorite opponents to ever step foot in the ring with. We had a great chemistry and an unrivaled passion to give the fans what they came to see. I truly believe that today, I have lost another brother. Please keep Mitch’s family in your thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace my friend
His cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Several wrestlers have reacted to his passing, including former peers like Chris Hero, Lince Dorado, and Drew Gulak.
RIP to "Marvelous" Mitch Ryder. Anytime I get to share a ring with @LuchadorLD I do a little tribute to Mitch. He used to take the time to run seminars with all of the CHIKARA talent before the shows because he wanted to help everyone get better.https://t.co/GS81cQw0rw

Mitch Ryder was one of a kind. I spent a few short years around him & have a lifetime of stories. He was always good to me and an absolute PLEASURE to watch in his element.
You know how Falcon Arrow = HE DID THE DEAL… That came from Mitch. Rest In Peace, friend đź’śđź’•
