WWE made some edits following match, not including the portion where medical personnel had to bandage her up.
Dave Meltzer provided some insight in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, indicating those backstage don’t feel it Nia Jax was to blame, and Sane may have slipped when trying to control her bump.
It was described to me as Sane being in control of her bump but she may have slipped and clipped her head according to one person or tried to make it look so good that in doing so clipped her head. We do know there was no internal blaming of Jax for this one. Sane was cleaned up and said to be okay, although being out is never a good thing with her history
Kairi Sane took to Twitter to show the deep cut as a result of the bump.
You are strong. I have lost to you many times. I am small and you may think I’m weak.
However, you can never beat my heart. I will get back up again. #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/leXMwuiifO— Kairi Sane (@KAIRI_official) June 2, 2020
