WWE is expected to make more financial cutbacks today as per a report from PWInsider.
In an update, it appears the cutbacks are related to office staff who were furloughed in April, and have yet to return to the company. WWE has been bringing back a small number of furloughed employees in the last two months.
As of right now it appears many of those furloughed employees are being let go today. It’s unknown if WWE plans on releasing talent.
Departures from the company have been in a number of departments, with live event and travel departments hit the hardest. Due to the ongoing health crisis, these departments were scaled back due to the lack of touring.
Earlier today, longtime WWE employee Gerald Brisco announced he was let go, Vince McMahon called him personally to break the bad news.
