Lead Writers For RAW and SmackDown Let Go From WWE

WWE has let go two lead writers from the company.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, SmackDown co-lead writer Steve Guerreri and RAW in-office lead writer Steve Oppenheim departed the company last week.

The decisions for their release was not made by Paul Heyman or Eric Bischoff, and the details surrounding their departure have yet to be revealed.

Heyman has begun working his new position, while Eric Bischoff is scheduled to attend his first WWE production meeting this week.

Steven Guerrieri was the co-lead writer alongside Road Dogg Jesse James, who left his position on WWE’s creative team in April.

Steve Oppenheim has been with WWE since 2011, while Steve Guerrieri has been with the company since 2012.
