WWE Hall Of Famer Howard Finkel has passed away at age 69. The company confirmed the news Thursday morning.
Howard Finkel got his start in 1975, hired by Vince McMahon Sr., making his announcing debut for the WWWF at Madison Square Garden in 1977.
Finkel was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2009. Following his career as a ring announcer, he spent a number of years working in a backstage capacity for the company.
While the cause of death is unknown, Finkel’s health has been declining over the last few years. Jerry Lawler revealed during an episode of ‘Dinner With The King’ in 2019 that Finkel suffered a stroke.
Finkel was in attendance at Wrestlemania 35 in Newark, NJ.

No cause of death has been revealed as of this writing.
