More WWE Cuts Expected As Early As This Week

WWE is reportedly planning more releases, which could take place as early as this week.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE sources have revealed there are “major names that were being considered for the cuts”. The report noted there is an “ongoing list”, which in the past included names that were not cut, as WWE management changed their mind on releasing certain people “at the last minute”.

In April, several names were released including Samoa Joe, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Bo Dallas, Mojo Rawley, and Wesley Blake.

Last month, NXT faced cuts, releasing Drake Weurtz, Velveteen Dream, Skylar Story, Jake Clemons, Ezra Judge, Jessamyn Duke, Vanessa Bourne, and Velveteen Dream.

The company has also made major internal changes, with over 60 employees terminated last week due to corporate restructuring.

As more details are known on additional releases, an update will be posted.
