Original Report:
Following a two month hiatus, a major NXT star is scheduled to make a return.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Velveteen Dream’s return to NXT is “imminent”, but further details were not provided. Dream’s last match was at the Backlot Brawl against Adam Cole during NXT Takeover: In Your House this past June.
Despite not being featured on television, Velveteen Dream made headlines following a car accident in late June, he received a citation, but was not required to attend court.
Prior to the accident, reports circulated regarding his status in WWE. Velveteen Dream’s name was mentioned during the #SpeakingOut movement, allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a minor.
In April, he was accused of sending an inappropriate photo to an underage fan, which he denied.
WWE has not issued any comment on either allegation.
