PWInsider added, Ranallo finished with the WWE at some point over the last few weeks, with one source revealing it happened shortly after NXT Takeover: XXX.
Mauro Ranallo issued a statement on Facebook, thanking WWE for the time he spent in the company. He says he will direct his focus on other projects, as well as mental health charitable activities.

WWE and Mauro Ranallo have mutually and amicably agreed to part ways.
Mauro’s passion and enthusiasm left an indelible and exciting mark with WWE and its fans, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
Ranallo has recently been off WWE television, due to being back at home with family in British Columbia. He had been working remotely from his home studio, calling the action of NXT on USA.
Mauro Ranallo’s deal with WWE allowed him to work with other combat sports properties.
He originally signed a deal with WWE in 2015, working at the SmackDown commentary desk. He was also the announcer for the WWE Cruiserweight Classic Tournament in 2016 alongside Daniel Bryan.
Ranallo continued to work at the announcers table for 205 Live and several major WWE pay-per-view events. He took a brief hiatus from announcing duties in 2017, returning later that year for the NXT brand.
