Mercedes Martinez has returned to WWE television, attacking Io Shirai during NXT on USA’s broadcast
Martinez last appeared in NXT back in September, losing a Steel Cage Match against Rhea Ripley. She later appeared as part of WWE’s Retribution group, but was later removed.
She reportedly no longer wanted to be part of the stable prior to the group signing new WWE deals.

Based on tonight’s attack, it’s likely Martinez will face Io Shirai at NXT’s upcoming NXT New Year’s Evil event, but that has yet to be announced.
