Tessa Blanchard Not In Talks With AEW

Rumors began to circulate over recent days suggesting that Tessa Blanchard and Daga were close to signing deals with All Elite Wrestling, however, this is not the case according to multiple reports.

Blanchard was released from IMPACT Wrestling and stripped of her IMPACT World Title after not making any appearances for the promotion during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Her last televised match was against Kylie Rae in September, dropping the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Title before disappearing from wrestling.

Several months ago, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that AEW wouldn’t be pursuing her at the time, however since more recent reports caused speculation of Tessa’s next move online, several sources have clarified the situation.

PWInsider reports that All Elite Wrestling has never offered a deal to either Tessa Blanchard or Daga, and that there haven’t been any discussions between the parties regarding a potential deal.

Dave Meltzer confirmed the report, adding that AEW is not currently negotiating a deal with the former IMPACT World Champion.

Fans’ speculation didn’t end there though, as a mysterious vignette aired during last week’s NXT, teasing the ‘Diamond Mine’. Whilst little was revealed during the vignette, fans quickly pointed out that the logo featured a diamond very similar to the one of Tessa Blanchard.

According to Fightful Select, WWE wasn’t intending to imply Tessa Blanchard joining the company during the vignette, however understood how fans could have made the misconception. The report also noted that talent at recent AEW tapings claimed that talks between the promotion and Tessa Blanchard right now were a ‘firm no’.
