Adnan Virk’s Replacement Revealed

Following the departure of Adnan Virk, WWE has found a replacement for the Monday Night RAW announce team.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, former UFC and Bellator commentator Jimmy Smith will join the RAW broadcast team, working alongside Byron Saxton and Corey Graves. Jimmy is scheduled to debut on the 5/31 episode of RAW, and will be the lead announcer for the show.

Smith has recently been featured on WWE NXT broadcasts, part of the NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver pre-show panel, and the Prime Target promo ahead of Karrion Kross vs. Finn Balor.

WWE sources reveal Smith has been “praised heavily” by Michael Cole, who snot only serves as a play-by-play announcer for SmackDown, but also Vice President of Announcing for the company.

Adnan Virk’s role in WWE came to an end after just over a month.
