Jay White has defeated Kota Ibushi at NJPW Power Struggle to win the G1 briefcase, which now grants him a contract to face Naito at Wrestle Kingdom 15 for the IWGP Heavyweight and IC Titles.

The finish of the match saw Jay White use the roped to his advantage in scoring a backslide pin over Ibushi.

This is the first time a G1 briefcase has changed hands prior to Wrestle Kingdom.

Tetusya Naito successfully defended both the Intercontinental and Heavyweight titles defeating EVIL in the main event of the show. Following the match, Jay White let Naito know he will be taking January 4th off, but will challenge him on January 5th for both titles.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling Wrestle Kingdom 15 will take place on January 4 and 5 inside the Tokyo Dome.
