New Japan Pro Wrestling’s faction The Empire is reportedly set to add a new member soon. The Empire was formed at the G1 Climax tournament, when Will Ospreay attacked Kazuchika Okada following their tournament bout and aligned himself with Bea Priestley and the Great-O-Khan.

Dave Meltzer recently reported that the group are set to get another member shortly. Commenting on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer claimed that Jeff Cobb would be joining the new faction at some point in the next few months.

“I don’t know that it’s Cobb. Cobb is there. I do know that Cobb will be in The Empire, which is Ospreay’s group, by January. So, it could be the mystery partner or it could be an angle on January 4 or it could be an angle at Budokan. I don’t know.”

Jeff Cobb was reportedly going to be revealed as Will Ospreay’s enforcer during the G1 Climax 30 tournament. However New Japan would opt with Great-O-Khan at this point in time.
