Timothy Thatcher Suffers Injury, NXT Fight Pit Match Postponed
NXT will not be featuring a Fight Pit Match between Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa during tonight’s New Year’s Evil special due to injury.
William Regal revealed on Twitter, Timothy Thatcher is injured, and the match has been postponed until he is medically cleared to compete. WWE did not reveal the nature of the injury, only revealing it was something minor.

Earlier today, WWE removed all advertising for the match, which led to many believing the match was canceled. Dave Meltzer noted prior to William Regal’s announcement, one of the competitors was injured
