NXT January TV Taping Results
NXT taped their next set of television at Full Sail University Thursday evening. The shows are leading up to NXT Takeover: Phoenix on January 26th from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona
Air Date: January 9th
SEGMENT: Johnny Gargano cuts promo stating he is not friends with Tommaso Ciampa, and was then interrupted by Ricochet. Ricochet offered him a shot at the North American Championship. Ciampa interruped them, but was then attacked by Aleister Black. Gargano then attacked Ricochet.
MATCH 1: Bianco Belair d. Nikki Cross – After the match the crowd chanted “Thank You Nikki”, as this is her last NXT taping before she heads to the main roster.
MATCH 2: Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel d. Stanley Watts and Hector Kunsmen
MATCH 3: Adam Cole d. ECW – After the match Undisuputed Era attacked EC3, then the War Raiders made the save.
Air Date: January 16th
MATCH 1: The Street Profits d. The Metro Brothers – After the match, The Forgotten Sons attacked The Street Profits.
SEGMENT: Bianca Belair cuts a promo stating she sent Nikki Cross packing, and will defeat Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Title at Takeover.
MATCH 2: Dominic Dijakovic d. Adrian Joude
MATCH 3: Johnny Gargano d. Humberto Carillo(Formerly Ultimo Ninja)
MATCH 4: Kassius Ohno d. Keith Lee
Air Date: January 23rd
SEGMENT: Velveteen Dream was cutting a promo, but was interrupted by Undisputed Era. They attempted to attack Dream, but he escaped.
MATCH 1: Lacey Evans d. Xia Li – Lacey’s last TV taping with NXT before she goes to the main roster.
MATCH 2: Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch d. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel
MATCH 3: Kairi Sane and Io Shirai d. Tenea Brooks(Formerly Rebel in TNA) and Amber Nova
SEGMENT: Ricoochet cuts promo, but is attacked by Tommoso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano. A DIY reunion is teased, but Candice LeRae got in the middle of it.
