The pro-wrestling landscape is changing, and WWE is set to make significant changes over the next several weeks.
WWE aired their season premiere of RAW on 9/20 , as well as went head-to-head with AEW with their live weekly NXT program on USA, and will premiere Friday Night SmackDown all in the span of one week.
The company also has the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view on 10/4 from Sacramento, as well as a Draft splitting both brands 10/11 and 10/14.
Changes in the titles could also take place, as oddsmakers have begun to place bets on who up-coming championship matches involving the WWE Championship, RAW Women’s Championship, and WWE Universal Championship. Top online sportsbooks in NJ have already begun offering picks on if any title changes will take place. At the moment all the current champions are underdogs going into their next major matches.
Kofi Kingston is set to defend his WWE Championship on the premiere episode of Friday Night SmackDown on 10/4. Currently, Lesnar is the favorite to win with -400, where Kingston currently sits as an underdog at +250.
Due to the nature of the event, WWE having a major title change is not far fetched, and Lesnar moving to the SmackDown brand could be the plan moving forward.
Two nights later at WWE Hell In A Cell, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt is the current favorite to defeat Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship. Wyatt is currently sitting at a -530, where Rollins is at a +353.
Since returning as “The Fiend” on WWE television, Bray Wyatt’s character has been built up as a force to be reckoned with. Wyatt has faced Seth Rollins in several WWE live events, with matches ending in disqualification.
Sasha Banks is the current favorite to defeat Becky Lynch at Hell In A Cell. Banks is sitting at a -350, where Lynch is at a +225.
This will be Bank’s second pay-per-view match against Becky Lynch since returning to WWE after a four-month hiatus. During recent live events, Lynch was able to defeat Banks via disqualification.
Having these title changes would certainly shake things up
