Mcafee Claims Michael Cole Yelled At Him In Front Of Many People Backstage

Prior to the Wrestlemania kickoff show this past Sunday, Pat McAfee claims he almost walked out following an incident with Michael Cole.

According to McAfee, just minuted before the kickoff show, Michael Cole began yelling at him for wearing shorts at Wrestlemania. He claims Cole did this in front of many people backstage at Gorilla.

Pat stated he went to gather his things and leave, but a member of the Digital Media team said he would talk to Vince McMahon personally. McAfee was slated to have a few segments on the kickoff show, as well as host the Watch Along on social media.

Michael Cole and the Digital Media team member came back and said they talked to Vince McMahon, and he was ok with Pat wearing shorts, since he saw a picture of Lebron James wearing them with a suit jacket. Cole then proceeded to apologize for berating him in front of everyone.

Michael Cole is in a senior commentary role in the company, and helps manage and hire talent. Cole was instrumental in hiring Pat McAfee .
