Possible Friday Night SmackDown Spoilers
Following her match against Io Shirai on this week’s episode of NXT, Rhea Ripley could soon be coming to the main roster.
Earlier today, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that he had ‘heard talk of Ripley moving to the main roster’ following her clean pinfall loss to Io Shirai on NXT. Meltzer also added that the ending of the match was an indication that Ripley could moving to the main roster sometime soon.
Following the report, there was heavy speculation that Ripley could be one of the remaining unannounced members of the SmackDown Women’s Team for this Sunday’s Survivor Series.
Fightful Select (subscription required) have now sent out a report noting that if Ripley is added to the SmackDown Women’s Team, it won’t happen tonight, with Bayley and Natalya currently planned to join team SmackDown.
The report also noted that Big E was originally set to join team SmackDown, however might not happen after his qualifying match was scrapped. Otis is reportedly also in the mix to be the final member of team SmackDown.
