Triple H hosted a media call following NXT Takeover: Phoenix where he discussed the event.
Triple H spoke NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles in the future, stating it may be a possibility, bur reiterated that it took time for them to come to the main roster.
He also spoke on the current tag team scene in NXT, and feels we will see a resurgence in teams in the future. He put over the War Raiders, Undisputed Era, Street Profits, and Forgotten Sons.
When asked about Sonjay Dutt and Abyss coming to the WWE, he stated that he is looking forward to their arrival. He also didn’t specify the exact roles they would have in the company.
He was asked about why Velveteen Dream was not working the show. He mentioned Adam Cole was not also working the event in an in-ring capacity. He said this is due to needing variety, and there is only so many spots on the show.
He also said he doesn’t know if the Women’s Tag Team Championship on the main roster will be a title that crosses brands. He stated there has been talks about various ideas, but isn’t sure about the final idea.
Triple H mentioned that Tegan Nox is working hard, and when it’s time for her to return, she will be back. He said it was really frustrating to see her so close to to having something big, and then having an injury happen. He feels she will push through this setback.
