Earlier today, WWE announced Triple H will be kicking off tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW.
According to Wrestling Inc., those backstage have heard chatter that Triple H may be wrestling on tonight’s episode. His last match with WWE was a live event in Tokyo in 2019, teaming with Shinsuke Nakamura against Samoa Joe and Robert Roode.
Wrestlevotes added fuel to the rumor, tweeting “college football championship GAME”. This quote tweet was in reference to an earlier report, which indicated WWE still had plans to keep Randy Orton in the main event of tonight’s show, replacing Drew McIntyre, who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Based on that tweet, many are speculating Triple H will face Randy Orton at tonight’s show. It should be noted, this match has yet to be confirmed, and should be considered a rumor at this point.
RAW will have competition tonight with the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship game between Alabama and Ohio State.
