Possible WWE NXT Main Roster Call-Up
Current NXT star Damien Priest could be called up to the RAW or SmackDown brand.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), backstage sources reveal Damien Priest “was being planned for a call up as of earlier this week.”
Earlier today, Wrestlevotes revealed WWE’s nixed plans to call an NXT talent up during last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, specifically during the Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, and Roman Reigns segment. However, the name of the talent was not named, and the only details known is that this person is performing at tonight’s New Year’s Evil event.
Fightful’s report did note, they cannot speak to whether Priest’s main roster call-up is tied to last week’s nixed angle on SmackDown.
Damien Priest is facing Karrion Kross at tonight’s NXT New Year’s Evil event. The episode will air at 8 p.m ET on USA Network.
