Key Royal Rumble Entrants Will Be Announced During WWE Backstage
WWE will be holding their annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view this Sunday, however the prized #30 spot in the men’s Royal Rumble match and the #1 & #2 spots in the women’s Royal Rumble match will be revealed on Saturday’s special edition of WWE Backstage.
WWE fans have expressed their anger with this decision on Twitter, mentioning how it should have been kept a surprise.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required) this decision was made due to both WWE and FOX wanting the best viewership they can get to maximise their partnership and deals already in place.
The Royal Rumble will be one of the last pay-per-views on the current WWE Network, with Peacock buying exclusive streaming rights to the Network in a reported billion dollar five year deal. You can read more about this by clicking here.
