Reason For Charlotte Flair’s ‘Suspension’

This past week on Monday Night RAW, Charlotte Flair “suspended and fined” a week after returning to television.

Charlotte Flair lost to Asuka during the main event of the episode and proceeded to attack WWE referee Eddie Orengo.

Following the show, WWE official Adam Pearce appeared on RAW Talk, announcing Flair had been “indefinitely suspended” and “fined $100,000” for her actions.

According to Alex McCarthy of Wrestling Daily (h/t to Fightful), the reason behind the suspension was to write her off television due to dental work she needed to have done. The report notes she is not expected to be off television for too long.

Following a six-month hiatus, Charlotte Flair returned to television during WWE TLC last December. Last month, Charlotte announced a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, which kept her off television. She made her short-lived return the day after Wrestlemania.
