Natalya For Tag Team Turmoil Match At Wrestlemania 37

This year’s WrestleMania had the late addition of a tag team turmoil match on night one, with the winners going on to challenge the Women’s Tag Team Champions on night two. WrestleMania 37 also marked the second year in a row that the show didn’t feature a women’s battle royal.

According to Fightful Select, Natalya pushed hard for the tag team turmoil match to be added to the WrestleMania card, which allowed more women to be on the show.

Prior to WrestleMania, WWE made the go-home show of SmackDown ‘WrestleMania edition’, which featured the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and a SmackDown Tag Team Championships match. Per Fightful, a Women’s Tag Team Titles number one contender’s match was originally planned for this show, with the winners going on to face the champions at WrestleMania.

The Women’s Tag Team Turmoil match on night one saw Natalya and Tamina pick up the win, before falling short the next night when Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax managed to retain their titles.
