Released Talent Originally Planned For Diamond Mine

Over the last few months, WWE has been restructuring their roster, releasing a number of talents, including many from their NXT brand.

On Friday, WWE released 14 wrestlers, including two who were originally scheduled to be part of the Diamond Mine stable.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Arturo Ruas and Marina Shafir were originally scheduled to be involved in the Diamond Mine group prior to their release.

Ruas was informed a few days ahead of the group’s debut that plans had changed for him. Shafir was scheduled to be a “female enforcer” character in the stable, but debut at a later date.

NXT’s Diamond Mine group currently consists of Roderick Strong, Tyler Rust, Hideki Suzuki, and Malcolm Bivens.
